Oddly enough this all starts in Dec. of 2012 when I was 19, I was sued by Mississippi State University. The year before that, I was a freshman attending the university. 17 years old, a little less than a month away from my 18th birthday, no clue at all what I really wanted to do at the time. Long story less long, I had every intent on returning back to school that next semester. I go to register for my classes and I can't because there is a hold on my student account. Financial aid for rooming and board apparently was overlooked or just didn't exist. Til this day nobody really knows what happened... Fast forward, I wasn't able to come up with the money in the allotted time, so no money, no school. But someone still needed to get paid or they would continue to keep hold of my transcript. Finances for myself and family were very tight at the time but it sparked an idea that became Sputnik.

I realized that college would be one of those “I’ll go back later in life when I have a good understanding of what I want my path to be” situations. The “school of experience” taught me a lot between then and now but that's a story for another time that I cannot wait to share with all of you! All that being said, it has led me to this great educational opportunity that is Parsons School of Design x Complex Streetwear Essentials program. It’s wild that the decision I made in 2012 led me to now being accepted into this program.

The program is online and includes 5 Courses, assignments, and in depth courses with people I have looked up to for the past 10 years like Jeff staple, Nicky Diamonds, Heron Preston, and Don C! I feel like it's a great next step and perfect timing for where I am right now in my journey and with the foundation that I am continuing to build on for all of us that want to believe in ourselves. I'd love for you to be a part of this journey and help me to further it. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You
